This is a lovely desk. It is 100% solid wood, very easy to put together. Fairly delicate, I think. I wouldn't give it to a kid, or use it to put heavy equipment on it such as a big thundering printer, the kind that makes the table shake, but as a writing desk it is perfect. You can put it in a corner in your bedroom and have a little private place for your correspondence and it will not look like you brought the office home.
The finish is very nice and the color is as expected. Again, it is delicate. If you put something heavy on it and drag it, you will ruin the finish.
The top drawers are very small and they don't have stops, so they come all the way out, but since they are so small, if they had stops, you would hardly be able to open them. If the drawers were made out of thinner wood the drawers would be roomier, but then the desk probably wouldn't be as inexpensive as it is, so we gladly accept the drawers as they are =)
We bought this desk for my mom and she is very pleased with it.
It was delivered quickly and the packaging was good; the pieces were well protected but the packaging was not wasteful. I warmly recommend it.

My mother has tons of antiques that we know are worth alot of money, but we have no idea how to get them appraised and sell them. I have heard horror stories of antiques appraisers ripping people off who obviously dont know any better themselves as to what things are worth and how to sell them. how can we sell these things and ensure we dont get ripped off when doing so.
My cousin friend have the cutest room and hers is so cozy and warm.for example she has a throw on her bed and she has a huge carpet with teddy bears laying around and knit blankets on her chairs with books everywhere i just LOVE HER ROOM!!!!!! and i would like to know some things i can do to make my room look like that (and plz give some ideas that a 14 yr. old can use, i dont sumthin too childish or sumthin too adult looking) THANK YOU!!!! :)
