AtHomeMart Dark Brown Leatherette Bench
I am from Mumbai though I have been studying and living in NYC for the past 2 years. My biggest grouse with West-based authors writing about India is that they are too removed from reality and are busy depicting a stereotypical India that is very changed today.
This book and the author surprise me by how accurate it is. We had a "bai" or a maid like Bhima in my home when I was growing up and some of the interactions between Sera and Bhima are very close to conversations in my own home. And though Sera's choice in the end is terrible, I am humbled to accept that inspite of my education and "modern" thinking, I can understand why Sera chose to stick with her family.
The more striking thing about the book that it is not only about India as it is not about "caste" which are sub-portions of the Hindu religion but rather about "class" which is more wealth and social stature driven. This story could well be set in a white household with a colored servant and would probably be the same. I think it is this universal appeal of the book that makes me give it 5 stars.
Definitely a must read.

We purchased this bench to go with the leather headboard and footboard we purchased for our master bedroom in our new house. We love the bench, good quality, sturdy and looks great. Delivery was easy and putting it together was easy. Great product for the price!

My family decided on getting a bench to add extra seats to our dining table. The bench is very nice looking, very comfortable to sit on, adds class to my dining room table. To be honest, I am trying to find other purposes or needs for one around the house so I can order another... or two.
Perfect bench for the foot of my bed. I read reviews and my main concern was damage during shipping. They must have listened to their customers because my bench was packaged to the hilt and took a bit longer too arrive and it was so worth it. Not a nick can be found. Plus it's sturdy. My cat has commandeered it but at such a great price I don't have to worry about scratches ...famous last words.
The best product for the price, the color and build is the same as the picture, it fits well with the rest of our furniture.

Will get a lot of use in a public setting. The leatherette upholstery looks like leather.
I bought this bench for our dining room table, and although it's a bit wide(meant for the end of the bed), it fits just perfect. It is so comfortable for guests to sit on with the nice thick padding. It took me 10 minutes to put on the legs. Great quality, solid, and VERY COMFORTABLE. It was a phenomenal price for the quality. I've been shopping for a bench like this and they're usually between $200-400. I got lucky with this one. QUICK UPDATE: This bench is comfy, but after awhile of use, its too cushy for a dining room table. You sink down a bit, lowering yourself from the table. But..it looks good, and does the job. But, next time, I'll buy a bench specifically for a dining table..
Great adult playroom addition. Sturdy build. Top surface very comfortable for long term use. Easy clean surface. Looks dark and inviting.
Box arrived well packed and secure. Amazingly easy to put together. Solid bolts, 2 for each leg along w/a wrench, I am >65 and didn't have any issues. Once all assembled the bench is secure, not wobbly or cheap feeling or looking. Sure the top is "leatherette", I say...so what... look at the cost. Thee covering would be easy to replace at some point, but for our infrequent use, and we aren't rough on furniture this bench should last quite a while.
