The advertising states this model is for "Large Cats." The choice of words in the ad appears imprecise.
Our larger younger cat is [to us] a MEDIUM size long-haired gray furball. We think of a "LARGE" cat as being anything from an Ocelot to a Jaguar. We own neither - or anything in between.
The FURminator works VERY WELL and removes large quantities of undercoat. The cat likes being groomed with it. We also have a very small, very ancient short-haired black cat. We found that the product works very well on her also. We are gentle and careful groomers.
The blade is sharp metal and if your grooming techniques are brutal, we are certain you can do damage to the cat's skin. We would not attempt to use this product on a long-haired cat with ungroomed or matted hair. That is a recipe for trouble.
One reviewer said that the Furminator was too harsh. We did not find that to be true and we groom with either it or a slicker brush, or both daily.

I bought this house for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves it! Expect a half hour to an hour putting it together, but it was worth it. The house seems rather solid. The furniture that comes along with the house is super cute too, all made of wood, which I enjoy so much more than plastic. When we received the box, there was two pieces that had been broken during shipment. I called the company and the customer service rep was incredibly helpful. The replacement pieces came in about a week at no cost or hassle. I would definitely recommend this doll house and this company.
We purchased this for my 5yr old for Christmas 2011 and she absolutely loves it. Lots of pieces for my husband to put together, but once we got it together she absolutely loves playing with it and all the furniture that was included with it. Great quality and very sturdy . Something she can use for years to come.
I got this for my three year old daughter for Christmas. What a hit!! She has been playing with it everyday since. It fits Barbie dolls and Disney Princess dolls perfectly. It is a good quality and made completely from wood. It took about an hour to assemble and the instructions were very well written and easy to follow. And a bonus, it comes with all the furniture you see in the picture. It is a perfect dollhouse for any little child.
It easy to put together but time consuming . My daugther was so excited she wanted to help so we end up with the final product in 3 hours. The dollhouse it sturdy and the furniture inside the same. Isabella loves her dollhouse and if she is happy i am happy.
My 5yr old LOVES it! It was an amazing purchase for the $. It is sturdy, big, but not to big, saying as we live in a small house and it doesnt take up to much space. I have been VERY pleased with this purchase.
I ordered this for my 5 year old son and 7 year old daughter for Christmas because my son is a huge Barbie enthusiast and had asked for the Barbie townhouse however after doing a lot of reshearch I knew this would be the best investment. The house is really big (taller than my tall 5 year old) and has well made furniture pieces. I like that it's all made so well and is almost all wood. Definatly isent going to fall apart. I look forward to my 2 younger daughters playing with it years after my older children outgrow it.
