Amish Cabinet Stained and Painted
In my search for decent coasters, I thought it was ridiculous to find sets of 4 coasters being sold for $25-50! These are supposed to protect your furniture! For that price, I'd want to buy a coaster for the pricey coasters themselves! lol
Then I saw these and they are perfect! Nice durable rubber (so they and whatever is on them stays put). Because they're made of rubber, I thought they would curl or deform, but they stay flat and even. They come with ridges so if your drink starts to "sweat", the coaster contains the water from leaking onto your furniture. The size is average and big enough to hold my coffee mug. They're reversable and very easy to clean (just run them under a faucet and air-dry). Some reviewers commented about hating the black color... but I actually love it! I have them scattered all over the house. They are my table savers!

I have built-ins in my house that were built by the previous owner and he installed stock cabinet doors that are too small and they look really bad. I think I can remedy this by using bigger doors, new hardware and paint (he stained it badly too), and a bit of trim. But I'm not sure where to even go to get just a couple of cabinet doors. Home Depot and Lowes only had big sets and full cabinets, not individual doors. I was told there was an option to buy individual replacement doors from the companies but they're like $50-80 per door and you have to order them according to the size of the cabinet, not the size of the door, so basically that won't work. A relative lives down the road from an Amish guy who does really great woodworking for very reasonable prices, but he obviously has no phone and so I would just have to go see if I can find him. It's also over an hour away and I don't know the next time I can get up there. It's an option if I can't find anything else but not the most convenient one. Any ideas?
