Wow why am i reviewing a speaker wire?

For a long time I had been wanting to upgrade my HT speaker wire from the 18 AWG I set it up with to 12 AWG. I kept putting if off because of the pain of measuring, cutting and stripping bare wire. I hadn't considered pre-terminated before because usually they are very expensive, esoteric wires that I'm not the least bit interested in. What I am interested in is guage and convenience. When I found these little pre-terminated gems I pulled the trigger and got everything set up, using Sewell's cheaper line for the rear surrounds. The construction is high quality and it took very little time. Also, not that it's important for some people, but they are very attractive. Now I got the guage I wanted and everything looks nice and clean. The banana terminals are above average and easy to work with. They fit very snug in both my amp and speaker terminals. Sewell's Silverback Wire is an excellent, highly recomended product.

I purchased the wire for my definitive speakers using it for my center and surround and using straight wire for my definite towers great sound quality for the price! I bought 10 feet and split it using other Sewell banana plugs to make two shorter connections...when I split it was more like 10 ga then twelve heavy then mono price 12 ga with better base response...very impressed.
It took some time searching on Amazon before I found this product. This is much better than buying the wire and banana plugs separately and I wish I would have gone this route for my other speakers too. I bought wire and plugs from Blue Jeans Cable for my front channel speakers. While everything sounds great, the Sewell wire costs less and is manufactured as one unit. Plus, this speaker wire just looks good. Much better than plain speaker wire. I bought this wire because it is 12 gauge wire and not 16, and was pleased it turned out to be a first rate product. As also mentioned by another reviewer, I received 10' of wire instead of 6' as label; however, I'm fine with the extra length.
Just thought others should know this is wonderful and makes setting up a home theater system much easier. It is pre-terminated at both ends which looks much more professional than my attempts at putting banana plugs on wires myself. Its a dark color which matches my furniture and electronics better its thick though which may bother some people but i like thick wires as it makes me feel better about its quality and lifespan. I have not had any problems with speaker quality using these either.
