Feline Soft Claws Take Home Purple

I bought this set of small set of Soft Claws after my attempt at using the medium/regular size completely failed. My cat is a 10 pounder, which puts her clearly in the range for the medium, but they seemed pretty big on her and she was able to pull the mediums off easily. In doing this, she managed to rip off a big chunk of her fingernails, and they were obviously pretty sensitive since she would make a crazy noise when I tried to investigate her paws. Even though kitty technically was too big for the small size, I decided to give it a go and see how it would hold up.

GENIUS. They stay on her paws and she can't get them off when she gnaws at them- whenever she cleans her paws, usually post meals, she takes a test yank at the nail caps. They don't move. She seems a whole lot less awkward in the smalls than in the mediums and it's been about a week and a half since we put them on her and they are still on.

We have two kitties that are having trouble learning to scratch their posts and not the carpet, these have helped immensely since now about the only thing they can scratch is their cardboard scratch post. They're both very small cats so a size small works best for them. This is the second time we've put them on, the first time one of our cats was very upset but now she doesn't mind so much. If your cat is really mellow you could probably put them on by yourself, our cats are younger and hyper it takes two of us to put on both paws.

Like other reviewers said, I'd recommend using more glue than they recommend in the directions, otherwise they get pulled off quickly. This is a great product for training or if your cat(s) just wont stop scratching furniture or people. It is a bit of a hassle but they stay on for a little over a month and it's very worth it for us. If your cat doesn't have much issue with scratching furniture or people I don't know why you would use them. Overall a great product and great for our purposes.

Now my kitten will not cut me up when we play! I love the soft texture of the caps and so does my kitty!

Cost is perfect! Cheaper than the stores that I have found. They are soft on the nails and you can clip the ends off if they don't start to fall off when they should. Great product and alternative for cats that like to claw things up. Anyone who has cats should try these.

These work great! I use them on two of my kitties who hate to have their claws trimmed, so that I can increase the amount of time between trimmings. They appreciate not having to have their claws trimmed as often as the other kitties, and the rest of us appreciate not being scratched ;)

They are easy to apply, even if it's just one person doing it. One of the kitties who needs these is a challenge, but I'm still able to get these on by myself.

Most kitties would probably take a medium, one of mine takes medium, the other one takes small. There isn't a huge difference in the two sizes, so if you're in doubt and it isn't for a kitten, I'd start with the medium.

The key to getting these to stay on is to not trim the claw as far down as you normally would, just clip off the end part where it starts to curve. That gives more surface for the glue to stick to, and really does help them stay on longer.

I love the Soft Claws nail caps. Have used them in the past for other cats and for customers of my grooming business, always with great results. Have recently been using them on my kitten - started about 4 months of age with size small (although you may have to cut the caps down a bit at that age for a perfect fit) They are easy to apply, don't bother the kitten/cat and do their job very well. I only apply to front claws and a package of 40 usually last about 3 months. When kittens nails grow out she will usually start to chew on the cap and remove it, I let her remove them herself and just replace them when one comes off. No need to replace all at once, just replace them as they fall off. They are a big saver for my home, furniture, etc.

I was skeptical at first, but these work just as described. Kitty freaked out for about 5 minutes and then completely forgot she had them on. They last about a month or more. She can still "scratch" and get her aggression out on a cardboard scratch pat so I'm glad she can still use her cat instincts, but my furniture is saved as these are much too wide and thick for her to puncture holes in the fabric. Yay! And she looks so pretty in purple...

These claw covers work great! Prior to my cat's passing, she had lost her eyesight and wanted to be held a lot. It was really hard to hold her because she would hold on with her claws. I bought some of the soft paw claw covers and it solved the problem. They were super easy to apply, stayed on well and best of all I could comfort my cat during her last days without getting hurt. I would highly recommend these for any cat that holds on while cuddling or claws furniture.
