Bought this as a replacement for a very large dining set we had with six chairs. It was too big to fit into our place, so we had to downsize. This little set took about 45 minutes to put together (DO use a screwdriver and NOT hand tools to assemble.), instructions were pretty easy to follow. Assembles nicely and looks very expensive, nice dark cherry color. Stools are sturdy and we are just under 200lbs each. The reason I gave it five stars is because it works beautifully for our situation and level of use, but it probably won't last more than a handful of years from regular, daily heavy use or kids. Good set, just don't expect it to last a lifetime! Can't beat the spectacular price though - most local stores wanted $350-500 for a similar set of equal or less quality than this one. Would recommend to anyone looking for a small pub set.

No the quality isn't exceptional. However, for the price it was a really nice surprise. We have a small kitchen so we were looking for a smaller 3 piece set which we could use to snack, drink coffee and have guests sit and talk while we cooked. We looked at more expensive sets but didn't really want to spend that much money. I was a little leery when I came across this set because of the low price but the reviews were decent and for such a low price I thought it was worth a shot. I have to say I'm really happy with the purchase. The table looks very nice and has a higher quality feel to it than I expected. We've received complements from everyone who's seen the set and it's used often. I would definitely recommend this set.
One more thing. The picture of the black seats appear to be a grayish color. However, the actual seats are black.
We bought this set because we needed something small that would go in our kitchen. Its very well made and sturdy, and the stools are at a good height. My husband put the whole thing together in about a half hour and we are very pleased with our purchase!
It's a cheap product, and cheaply built. However, that is exactly what I wanted. The stools aren't great, the table can be a bit of a pain to put together by yourself but it's perfect for my tiny little apartment. If you are expecting outstanding quality you won't be getting it. If you are like me and rate products fairly based on price than you won't be disappointed. It's perfect for anyone on a budget or with limited space.
The box was completely smashed up when it was delivered to my home. This table did arrive quickly, and the first thing I did was inspect it. Sure enough, the corner was busted. Considering the price, I still love the table and not many people notice the broken corner. This has nothing to do with the person whom you are purchasing from.... UPS/Fed Ex is HORRIBLE when it comes to taking care of packages!! It's really too bad.
I purchased the cherry wood colored set just last week. As an amazon prime member, the free shipping was great as shipping on other similar items w/o prime is $40-50. The package comes in one large box, with the items protected by styrofoam. Putting the table together was really easy with the tool that comes in the kit. Putting the two stools together was a little more complicated and required a screw driver and some arm work to drive the screws into the legs of the stool. Overall I got the whole thing set up in about 30-40 minutes.
The wood is a handsome deep cherry. The construction is solid and quite steady. The stools are sturdy as well and comfortable to sit on. The brown leather of the stool seats is quite soft and nicely textured.
Drawbacks to the table include that it isn't wide enough to fit two normally sized placemats across from each other. The short end of the table top is wide enough to fit a normal sized place mat but is uncomfortable for sitting at either end because of the bars which run vertically to support the table.
Overall this is a fantastic little table for a New York apartment. Definitely worth the $120 or so price tag.
VERY nice little table and certainly WORTH every penny!!!! The assembly instructions are truly the BEST I have seen!!!! Everything is labeled perfectly!! I am NOT a very handy person at all and I had NO trouble with the assembly!!
First of all I received this about 5 days before I was scheduled to get it. That was great. I am a 64 year old (still working) woman and I assembled it myself. It was a little challenging but not impossible. I have a small eating area and this fit well and looks amazing. Very, very happy with purchase.
This table was a bit tricky to put together due to the lack of instructions. My boyfriend and I got it together in about two hours. The only gripe I have is that the screws for the top are very recessed so we needed to finish screwing them in by hand with an extra long screwdriver. Our power screwdriver couldn't reach in the holes. The top is a bit dinged up on the edges but it's not bad. It does scratch easily, so be careful. The stools are super sturdy and comfortable.
