Crib far exceeded expectations

We bought this crib because we were looking for something that would last quite a long time for our child. Since we can convert it from a crib through toddler to older child years we are hoping we will never have to buy another bed. We received all the parts necessary with the exception of the rails needed to convert the crib to a full size bed but that wasn't part of the package. It does include the necessary items to convert to a toddler bed. It's a standard size crib so if you don't have a lot of space it could cramp the room you place it in. The directions were fine and my husband put it together in no time. The directions sort of reminded me of the ones you see with IKEA products but at least these weren't simply diagrams and drawings it actually had some text to go along with it. If you're not mechanical by nature it may prove a little difficult. This crib appears very sturdy and looks really nice once put together. I can't wait to use it. I also love that it has 3 different height adjustments for the baby as he/she gets bigger not to mention if mommy or daddy or a little short in stature (I'm only 5'3"). I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a crib.

I was a little nervous ordering this crib despite all the great reviews, because it was so cheap. It was something like [...], with free shipping because I have free Prime through Amazon Mom. The crib arrived in 2 days and is so much better than I dared hope.

It didn't have any dings or scratches like some people complained about, and it was reasonably easy to put together (it took my husband and I about an hour and a half - if we took it apart in the future, I'm sure we could reassemble it much more quickly, now that we know what we're doing). Once assembled, the crib is extremely sturdy and looks gorgeous. The wood looks and feels high-quality, and it is a rich dark chocolate color, somewhat darker than some of the pictures make it appear.

One of the best things about this crib is that it works for tall people. My husband is 6'3 and I'm 5'9, and I didn't want a crib where I would have to bend way down to put the baby in. This crib allows you to set the bed height at 3 different levels. When the baby is new, you can set it quite high to make it easy to lift the baby in and out. When he gets older and can stand up, you can set the level lower so he can't climb or fall out as easily.

I also purchased the Sealy Soybean Foam-Core Crib Mattress, and it fits the crib perfectly, nice and tight so there are no gaps on the sides.

One caveat: the crib is just a little too wide to fit through a normal bedroom door, so make sure you set it up in the room you want to keep it in. I'm sure you could take off one of the sides without too much difficulty if you did need to move it later.

After shopping around for an affordable, yet sturdy, crib for my baby, I came across this model after the $300 model I wanted was sold out. It was on sale for $149 at the time and I was somewhat skeptical about buying without seeing it first. After reading the reviews, however, I decided to take the chance. I was pleasantly surprised! The espresso color is just the right shade for my nursery, and the crib is just beautiful. I received the item in perfect condition, and setup was pretty quick and somewhat painless. The final result was a beautiful, sturdy crib that compares well with the $500 models around. It doesnt seem to scratch easily although I cannot say how it will hold up when my little one starts chewing. I have leaned hard on it and it still holds up strong. And it grows with my baby which is most important. If you are hesitating on this model, then don't. You'll be very happy with your purchase!

    We love it!
It took us less than 2 hours to assemble it because the instructions were so clear. We love the colour! And love the way it turned out to be. We bought the "Sealy Baby Ultra Rest Mattress" and it fit perfectly in the crib. Overall, we are happy to have bought this crib online with a great prize also! :)

I read almost every negative review and most of the positive reviews on this crib both on amazon and other sites. The only thing that was slightly deterring me from making this purchase was some people kept complaining about "this horrible chemical smell" and the "color was uneven". First of all, YOU'RE ALL CRAZY! This crib is made of SOLID WOOD! When you stain solid wood, it leaves behind a smell - from the finish. It is not at all harsh and by no means made my son's nursery smell bad. I didn't even have to open a window or anything and his room is not huge. The first thing I did before I let my husband but it together was I smelled inside the box, and nothing. Also, the color is NOT uneven. You can see the grain through because it is not painted, but a dark stain so naturally it might LOOK uneven (but you have to get realllll close to notice) but it's the wood grain your seeing. It also came with the rail to make it ito the toddler bed and the rail to make it a day bed which was a huge relief for me as often, when it comes time to order those peices the companies no longer are around. Over all, I would recommend this crib AND this company to anyone who asks. I'm so glad I went with my gut and got this crib instead of the $500 one I wanted at my local baby supply store! I went in a couple days ago for some things, and still like the one I got for $200 wayyyy better!!

After finally getting sick and tired of all the crib recalls, we bought this crib on 6/25 for our now 1 year old. The outer box looked pretty rough when it got here but the manufacturers packaging inside the outer box provided by amazon was pristine. I read all the reviews about the crib arriving with scratching so I hawk-eyed every single inch of every piece of the crib. I found NO scratches. I did find 2 small imperfections in the wood itself which can only been seen when looking closely, but that comes with the territory when using real wood.

Assembly directions were very easy to follow. It took us just under an hour to assemble. There is NO WAY to put this crib together by yourself, so don't even try it. The only thing that will result is damage to the crib itself and probably a bad assembly risking your child's life.

My daughter is teething and I know some said the crib scratches very easily. She has marked up the wood on the front rail with her teeth but not through the coloring on the wood. It looks more like indentations. It's really not noticeable unless you look closely but if this is a major issue for you, you might want to go with a crib that you can put guards on.

I drove to every store and essentially looked at every crib out there. I was so worried about buying off the internet but the price was incentive enough to give it a shot. I can honestly say that the quality of this crib surpasses many of the $400 cribs I saw in the retail stores.

We purchased this crib at Wal-Mart, but I wish we would of seen it here first! Amazon's price is cheaper. We love this crib. Our 4 month old son has been sleeping in it for a long time now. It's sturdy, I love the quality of the material, and it's beautiful. If we can keep the wood in good condition, this will be the only bed we ever need to buy him. It's a great value, and a great product. My husband put it together in a very short amount of time.

Before buying this crib I read every review on Amazon about cribs, or that's what it felt like anyway! I was about to buy the DaVinci brand when I took a trip to babies r us and was taken back by how soft the wood was, so we went with this one. I was worried about it being easily scratched or not arriving in perfect condition but when it came all the pieces were intact and it was a breeze to put together, it took my husband and I about 45min. I would recommend having 2 people though. It's very sturdy, you don't get the wobbly feeling that sometimes comes with cheaper cribs. I love the color, it was dark like I wanted and as for the smell that everyone was horrified by, I think that anytime a wood has a finish it needs sometime to air out, it was noticeable for about a day and then was good to go. I did read some complaints about the mattress not fitting, we ordered the Sealy foam core mattress and there isn't even a tad bit of room for you to stick your fingers in, it's a perfect fit. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't want to sacrifice quality but needs to stay in a low end budget. As with anything a few scratches are bound to happen, we did notice a small indentation on one of the sides but you wouldn't even notice unless you did a thorough inspection (which of course as parents we do) Also, the directions are attached to the mattress board so you can't ever lose them for when it's time to convert!

We opened the crib and were really pleased with how easy it was to put together. Its very sturdy and the wood is harder then a lot of the cribs I checked out. I don't think it dents as easy. The color is really beautiful and I was really pleased with how fast it shipped.
